Harris Paints Hosts High Performance Coatings Seminar

Barbadian Architects, contractors and other trade customers of Harris Paints were recently introduced to an extensive range of High Performance Coatings from Flowcrete, a world leader in industrial flooring technology and Jotun Paints, a leading manufacturer in protective and marine coatings.

The 35 participants represented Government, commercial and industrial facilities on the island including hotels, the airport and food processing plants. The intensive seminar was designed to give these customers, some of whom already use a selection of the products, a better understanding of the full range available to them and the extensive use of the various products. It also served to introduce products that they may not have used before.

It was conducted by the Harris Paints High Performance Technical Services Sales team along with officials from Flowcrete and Jotun Paints. Chris Vaughn Regional Sales Manager of Flowcrete was in the island especially for this seminar and he was joined by executives Dave Evans, Milton Campo, Brian Dokendorf and Katrina Johnson in making presentations to the participants.

There were presentations on the various products including coatings for sea going vessels, for concrete tanks, steel beams and insulated and non insulated high temperature stainless steel surfaces. Presentations also dealt with high performance chemical resistant floor coatings, hard wearing industrial floor systems and hygienic water based floor coatings suitable for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and healthcare environments.

"We wanted to share, in detail, some of the vast range of specialised products that we can supply to our customers," stated Ian Kenyon CEO of Harris Paints. "This seminar really explained the total support system that we offer at Harris Paints, where we partner to service our customers and can assist them on site visits and surveys. We can also help them with the specification writing and in site technical services assistance during application. Because these products are highly specialised and also because of the technical areas in which they are used, there is little margin for error," He explained.

Kenyon added "The seminar also helped to explain to customers how they can lower their maintenance costs and deliver services on time and within budget. We were able to do this, because we are supported by the largest and most professional industrial coatings manufacturers in the world, who have a cadre of highly trained personnel and because of the dedicated Harris Paints team. I am extremely happy that we were able to host this seminar for our customers at this time," (PR)
