Harris Paints Launches Revolutionary Colour App

Harris Paints on Friday launched what is being deemed a revolutionary app, during a special ceremony at the company's main office in Canefield. The company's retail service and export sales manager, Roslyn Sorhaindo-Madir said ColourWiz, a mobile phone application available for download on Google Play, is aimed at giving individuals the ability to identify colours in the environment they would like to use for any project. "Imagine you have decided to paint your kitchen just in time for Christmas, you are desperately seeking inspiration, so you walk into your garden and see a beautiful flower in a beautiful shade of red that is exactly the colour you want. until today you should struggle to name that colour as there are thousands of shades of red."

"From today all you have to do is download the ColourWiz app to your smartphone take a picture of the colour and within seconds you will have the nearest match to a Harris colour," Sorhaindo-Madir said Harris Paints is the first company in the Caribbean allowing their customers the ability to utilise such cutting edge technology seeing that eighty percent of the Caribbean population now own a smartphone. The application also has an online version, which allows customers to upload pictures of a room and or building and use various colours to design to virtually see the finished product. "This is not new as there are many tools like this, but never before has there been a tool that is so user friendly and enables you to change the colours of your flooring, cabinets, ceiling and even countertops, this is why the ColourWiz tool is a revolution as it enables you to change multiple surfaces as well as the paint so you can be sure of getting you total project right," According to Sorhaindo-Madir, this app will be useful for potential homeowners, architects, interior designers and most of all the public.
