Harris Paints Puts Customers In The “Mood”

Two lucky customers will be put in the “mood” having been recently chosen from among the many entries submitted for the Harris Paints “Get In The Mood This Christmas” promotion which ran from November 1 to December 24, 2010.

Shawn Francis walked away with a Warm prize of GYD $200,000 worth of furniture or appliances while Colnita Jervis was the recipient of a GYD $50,000 Calm Spa Treatment at the Basic Beauty Salon.

The prizes are reflective of Harris Paints’, the Caribbean Champions of Colour, Language of Colour system and the 4 mood groups found therein.

Within the Language of Colour system, every colour is a combination of different colour characteristics – colour, shade and mood, and have been grouped into four mood-inspired collections – Luxurious, Warm, Fresh and Calm – guaranteed to harmonize together. This creates a unique and easy-to-use colour system for customers, taking the hassle out of choosing the right combination of colours.

When contacted and informed of his prize Mr. Francis said it would greatly assist him in his home building efforts:

“Well the prize came in handy and I am happy to have won. I have been using Harris Paints for a while and will continue shopping there since I’m still building.”

In accepting her prize Ms. Jervis said the level of customer service she received during her first visit to Harris Paints encouraged her to return:

“Harris Paints is nice, I’ve always shopped there and I’m very happy that I’ve won. At first I purchased paint for the school at which I teach, and because of the exemplary customer service at Harris, I did not hesitate to return when I needed paint for my own home.”

Luke Ticknor, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Harris Paints said the company wanted to reward its valued customers for shopping with them over the Christmas period:

“Our customers have been very loyal to us and Christmas is one of the times of the year when they tend to purchase quite a lot of the products we manufacture and supply. We therefore wanted to give back to them, and we did this by selecting a set of fabulous prizes which matched the mood concepts expressed in our exciting and easy to use Language of Colour system.”

During the November 1 to December 24, 2010 promotion, customers were given in-store scratch tickets when making purchases of 4 gallons or more. These cards, which afforded customers the opportunity to win instant prizes such as 10% discounts, T Shirts, Calendars and Mugs, also doubled as entry forms, from which the Caribbean Champions of Colour selected winners from Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Guyana, and Jamaica, all markets in which Harris Paints operates, presenting them with a number of prizes including hotel stays, home refurbishments, furniture and appliances, and spa treatments.
