Maintenance and Safety Technician (Due April 17, 2025)

Core Responsibilities: 

  1. Lead activities by strategically executing maintenance, installations and repairs that will enable the company to accurately meet internal and external service objectives.
  2. Ensure customer satisfaction, preventative maintenance, efficiency and responsiveness are achieved using resources, processes and systems.
  3. Integrate a Quality Management System (QMS) framework to continuously improve processes and systems.
  4. Implement appropriate maintenance and repair Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that reflect the alignment between external and internal customer requirements.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • A (Technical) Diploma / Associate Degree in industrial maintenance technology or Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Certified or equivalent professional designation of professional repair and maintenance relation certifications or professional manufacturing certification with 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

    OR

  • Completion of Human Employment and Resource Training / National Service Training Agency Trust (HEART/NTA) certification or similar repair and maintenance designation or related field along with at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.

    Skills, Competencies and Requirements for the position:

    1. Proven experience and knowledge of Electrical and Technical/ Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditions (HVAC)/Maintenance processes. Proficient in setting up and maintaining machinery.
    2. Extensive Knowledge of the Factories Act inclusive of the safety and fire procedures.
    3. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, team building and presentation skills.
    4. Ability to work both independently and within a local and regional team.
    5. A strong record of achieving results and meeting deadlines.
    6. Must have a vehicle.
