BH Paints colours the lives Of St. Michael's Primary School students

BH Paints, the Caribbean Champions of Colour, have injected colour into the lives of the students of the St. Michael's Primary School, having recently repainted two classrooms, a library, and the school's canteen. As part of their 2011 Labour Day paint project, BH Paints teamed up with the Jamaica Constabulary Motorized Patrol Division, who invited the Caribbean Champions of Colour to partner with them in their efforts to provide a facelift to areas of the Tower Street, Kingston community. Ahead of the country's celebration of its 50thanniversary of independence next year, the PMPD decided to champion a project within the community in which they operate, which they saw as as the perfect opportunity to commence what they hope to be a long term partnership with the Caribbean Champions of Colour. BH Paints donated 80 gallons of paint to the Police Motorized Patrol Division, as well as providing volunteers to assist with the repainting process. Claude Manning, Sales & Marketing Manager with BH Paints, said they were happy to partner with the PMPD on this project, another chapter in their annual Labour Day community efforts: "BH Paints has developed a reputation of giving back to the community, and each year we identify a new project for our annual Labour Day paint programme. This year we focused on the St. Michael's Primary School, a pillar in the Tower Street, Kingston community, and a fitting location given the current national focus on our youth. BH Paints has embraced its role as a leader within the community and we look forward to continuing this relationship with the PMPD and the St. Michael's Primary School, as well as getting involved in many more projects of this nature." Inspector Mark Williams of the PMPD also confirmed that it was the fulfillment of a long heralded dream. Approximately 150 BH Paints staff members, police and fire service officials, Tower Street community residents, and parents of St. Michael's Primary School students came together to apply the 80 gallons of BH paint on the selected areas of the school, which now stands out as a bright beacon in the community.
