GREEN WISE GOLD-CERTIFIED ULTTIMA PLUS PURE ENDORSED AS “GREENEST” CHOICE BY SIERRA CLUB

A specialty interior paint containing virtually zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs),Ulttima Pure Plus and its family of paint products carrying the Green Wise Gold mark have been endorsed as the “greenest” option by the Sierra Club, the most enduring and influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States with 3.8 million members.

According to an article titled “What’s the Greenest Paint for My Home?” appearing in the February 2021 issue of the Sierra Club’s national membership magazine,Sierra readers are advised to look for safer product options with third-party certifications indicating low VOC content. Green Wise Gold tops the shortlist, equalled only by Master Painters Institute Extreme Green (X-Green) and Cradle to Cradle. Caution is advised regarding Green Seal certified paints, noting “Green Seal doesn’t factor in VOC emissions like the other eco-labels do.” 

The article points to a 2010 study which found that exposure to elevated levels VOCs in paint – including propylene glycol, glycol ethers, formaldehyde, and benzene – increases the likelihood of developing asthma and eczema.
