Human Resource and Administrative Officer (Due November 26, 2024)
Core Responsibilities:
- Organize and administer recruitment and selection, performance management, benefits management and other HR related matters.
- Ensure timely identification and processing of staff vacancies so that recruiting, interviewing, testing, and selecting applicants is administered as needed.
- Work with the Regional HR department in allocating human resources
- within the organisation, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
- Schedule and coordinate onboarding assignments and training sessions.
- Plan and conduct new hire orientations to foster positive attitudes toward company goals.
- Analyse training needs to design programs to enhance employee development.
- Compile and process employee documentation and records, keeping the employee databases up to date.
- Assist the Regional HR department with formulating policies, procedures, and changes, as well as communicating all updates to employees.
- Prepare monthly statistical reports and personnel transactions.
- Administer and process payrolls and related changes.
- Prepare and manage HR related communications for circulation.
- Maintain the departmental email account, responding to employee questions and complaints in a timely manner.
- Communicate and handle incoming and outgoing communications.
- Prepare letters and other presentations as assigned on business performances or transactions.
- Deal with routine administrative matters.
Qualifications / Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in HR / Management or related field with at least 3 years’ experience in HR or Administration role.
- OR
- A Diploma / Associate Degree in HR / Management / Administration with 2 years’ of related work experience.
Skills, Competencies and Requirements for the position:
- Experience in HR and Administration processes and best practices.
- High level of interpersonal, relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills.
- Extensive team management skills with ability to quickly engage staff and relevant resources.
- Strategic, proactive and results oriented.
- Champion mentoring, coaching and training.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- A “make it happen” approach.
- Knowledge of the paint industry would be an asset
