Fly ash is a by-product of coal-fired and electric generating plants and when used as a component in concrete increases its strength and durability as well as having environmental benefits.
Prepare the surface as for any other concrete surface ensuring it is clean smooth and free of loose materials.
The coal derivative in the concrete imparts an oily characteristic and therefore 1-2 coats of a solvent-based primer such as Super Seal Premium Bonding Primer/ Sealer should be used.
When fully dry, proceed to topcoat with Ulttima Plus Emulsion in the desired sheen and finish.
