Use wet sanding with a very fine grit paper when you want a mirror-smooth finish. This technique is often used after rougher, dry sanding (which shapes and levels).
Wet sanding will help remove remaining scratches and reduce dust. Dip sandpaper in water with a few drops of liquid detergent which will help the paper to glide over the surface for highly refined, scratch-free finish.

While Harris/ B-H Paints do supply specialist High Performance Coatings (HPCs) these fall outside the scope of this guide.
