Over 30 large contractors from around the region recently attended a Harris / BH Paints High Performance Coatings (HPC) seminar, organised in tandem with leading global paints and coatings solution provider International Paint (a division of AkzoNobel)and Flowcrete North America Inc., the global leader in the industrial and commercial floor coatings business. The event, held at the Terra Nova Hotel in Kingston Jamaica, saw Harris Paints' HPC Sales Manager Terry White cover the history of Harris / BH Paints, today's current business policies and case studies of various projects carried out across the Caribbean and South America (namely in Suriname and Guyana), highlighting the full range of solutions available to customers. White further assured attendees that: "The High Performance Coatings segment of our business has been growing rapidly in recent years and we offer solutions for all industries and projects of all sizes, and pride ourselves on providing the widest selections of world class products through our partnerships with top international brands like International Paint and Flowcrete." Steve Vickers, Regional Manager of International Paint presented on the price of paint focusing on volumes by solids vs. labour expenses while Chris Vaughn, Technical Sales Manager for Flowcrete North America reviewed case studies of major projects completed in North America and the Caribbean, (some of which include Coca-Cola and the Norman Manley Airport in Jamaica) and introduced a range of new flooring products. The presentations were well received by the attentive audience and resulted in appointments to follow up with technical assistance and specifications on a number of proposed projects. One of the attendees who represented Nestlé also gave a glowing testimonial of the high quality products supplied on a recent project and the service provided by Harris/BH Paints' certified sales force.
