As our business continues to expand its regional base, we are seeking to engage a strategic professional leader to join our Technical team.

Senior Manager Research & Development (Due March 28, 2025)
Core Responsibilities:
- 1.Lead the Research & Development team and operations.
- Maintain the product innovation pipeline, aligned with market trends and customer needs. Activate development process, monitor timeline execution of projects, evaluate and present results.
- Facilitate new product categories and intelligence into new raw materials and conduct benchmarking to ensure the portfolio is competitive. Conduct approvals for new product launches and new raw materials.
- Champion quality assurance to ensure that products, processes and procedures perform as expected. Ensure products are created to meet the health, safety, and the improvement of sustainability standards.
- Manage the technical support for issues related to paint production and technical service.
- Facilitate continuous learning and upskilling of Technical staff and activate proactive communication and collaboration with key suppliers and organizations.
- Conduct/facilitate/support the Sales & Marketing Team in the area of product information and product application training and seminars.
Qualifications / Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Natural Sciences or related field with at least 7 years’ experience in a Technical leadership role.
OR
- A Master’s Degree in Chemistry / Natural Sciences or related field with 5 years’ experience in a Technical leadership role.
Skills, Competencies and Requirements for the position:
- Proven experience and knowledge of paint chemistry and formulation techniques.
- Experience in leading innovation pipeline and driving R&D projects.
- Experience in Laboratory processes and best practices. Ability to use and apply lab instruments used in the coatings industry.
- High level of interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop technical instructions in a simple and understandable way to the customer.
- Strategic, proactive and results oriented. Independent manager with a “make it happen” approach.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching and training.
- Knowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/Business Management System (BMS) quality standards would be an asset.
