Widely used for security bars, grills and decorative work, this material is prevalent in many Caribbean homes.
Remove any loose flakes of paint and rust spots by sanding and/or scrubbing with a wire brush or pad. Clean thoroughly with a 50:50 water: vinegar or mild detergent solution and allow to dry.
For bare or only partially coated wrought iron, apply Rust Chem Universal Primer or Rust Chem Anchorlite Heavy Duty Primer which will inhibit rusting.
