Residents of the Nightengale Children’s Home are enjoying more attractive surroundings thanks to Harris Paints’ participation in the 2010 Clean Up Barbados Campaign organised by the Future Centre Trust. A team of Harris Paints employees, equipped with paint and paint supplies, recently visited the Black Rock children’s home to repaint the inside of one of the cottages as their innovative contribution to the campaign.
DEACONS PRIMARY SCHOOL will soon be repainted, thanks to a donation of 40 cans of paint by Harris Paints Barbados Limited. During a brief presentation ceremony at the school, Member of Parliament for the area, Chris Sinckler, congratulated the company for being community minded, while showing corporate social responsibility in a harsh economic climate.
The Forgotten Youth Foundation (FYF) Boxing Gym will get a well deserved facelift following a timely donation of several gallons of paint by Harris Paints, one of the leading local manufacturers of the product.
The gesture originated from a humble request to the administrators of the above mentioned paint manufacturers from President of the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA), Steve Ninvalle for assistance towards the rehabilitation of the Albouystown based facility.
A calendar of business and sporting event was announced with the highly anticipated inaugural Ben Francis International track and field event set for March 2011 at the press launch at BH Paints' headquarters on Bell Road.
October is the date tentatively set as the School Improvement Month with projects for beautification.
